A computer is handy for testing the subscription or watching on a second screen. There are two approaches: a general media player or a dedicated IPTV app.

Option 1: a media player (M3U address)

Free media players such as VLC can open an M3U playlist:

  1. Install the player from its official website.
  2. Open Media > Open Network Stream (Windows, Linux) or File > Open Network (macOS).
  3. Paste the M3U address you received and confirm.
  4. Show the playlist to move between channels.

This method is simple but does not always show the programme guide.

Option 2: a dedicated IPTV app

For regular use, a dedicated app offers the programme guide, favourites and easier navigation. Choose one distributed by a reliable source (Microsoft Store, Mac App Store or the publisher’s official website) that supports your login format.

Tips for smooth playback

  • Connect the computer by Ethernet or move it closer to the router.
  • Pause downloads and syncing in progress (cloud storage, updates).
  • Turn on hardware acceleration in the player’s preferences.

On a TV

An HDMI cable connects most laptops to a TV. For everyday big-screen use, an Android box or a Fire TV stick is still more practical.
