Which app can replace IPTV Smarters Pro? IPTV players by device, free or paid, how to choose and the precautions to take before installing.

An IPTV app, or IPTV player, provides no channels: it reads your subscription’s login details and displays the matching streams. So you can switch apps without switching subscription, as long as the new app accepts the same login format.
IPTV Smarters Pro is one of the most searched names, but it is not the only option, nor always the best suited to your device.
First: check your login format
Players accept one or more of these formats:
- Xtream Codes: username, password and server address;
- M3U: a single playlist address.
Most recent apps accept both. The differences are explained in M3U vs Xtream Codes: what is the difference?.
IPTV Smarters Pro: paid or free?
Several apps named “Smarters” exist in the stores, published by different developers and with different terms depending on the device. Some versions are free, others offer paid features or a subscription.
Before installing:
- check the developer name and the date of the last update on the store listing;
- read the “in-app purchases” notice or the displayed price;
- install only from your device’s official store. The “latest version” of an app is the one the store offers, not an APK file downloaded from an unknown site.
Our Xtream Codes and M3U login details work in IPTV Smarters Pro just as in other compatible players.
Alternatives by device
The apps below are common examples, with no link to their publishers. Their availability and terms (free, purchase, subscription, activation) change over time: check them in your device’s store when installing.
Android TV, Google TV, Android boxes and Fire TV
This is where the choice is widest. Players often used include TiviMate (set-top-box style interface, advanced features in the paid Premium version), XCIPTV and OTT Navigator. Guides: Android TV and Android boxes and Fire TV Stick.
Samsung and LG Smart TVs
TV app stores offer fewer apps. Several well-known players on these TVs, such as IBO Player, Smart IPTV, SS IPTV and Net IPTV, work with a trial period followed by a paid activation from their publisher, tied to the TV’s MAC address. This cost normally comes on top of the subscription: check it before choosing. With our plans, Ibo Player or Bob Player activation is free in Morocco, and Ibo Player activation is free for 1 year with the Premium and VIP plans in Europe (see the plans). Guide: Samsung or LG Smart TV.
iPhone, iPad and Apple TV
The App Store offers several players that support Xtream Codes and M3U, free or paid (for example GSE Smart IPTV or IPTVX). Guide: iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.
Windows or Mac computer
VLC, free and open source, plays M3U playlists. For a programme guide and channel-by-channel navigation, a dedicated app is more comfortable. Guide: watch IPTV on PC or Mac.

Precautions
- Do not install an app from a link received by message or found in a video.
- Only enter your login details in an app installed from the official store.
- Be wary of apps promising “built-in” channels: a player does not provide content.
What if the app does not work?
First check the login details (capitals, spaces, server address with its port), the device’s date and time, then the connection. The checks are detailed in the troubleshooting guide. If the problem continues, contact support with the device and app you use.
